Massive traffic jams are being witnessed due to ‘Bharat Bandh’ call given by some organizations to mark their protest against the Agnipath recruitment scheme of the Central government. This comes a day after Tri-service chiefs ruled out the withdrawal of scheme.
In various parts of Delhi-NCR, commuters faced heavy traffic jams including Delhi-Gurugram expressway as Delhi Police installed barricades at various checkpoints in wake of the Bharat Bandh against the Agnipath scheme. Â
Traffic department of both Gurugram and Delhi altered passengers about the congestion and cautioned them to avoid certain stretches.
A nationwide call for Bharat Bandh comes after five days of violent agitation in around 10 states.
